This is what is working for me:ġ) First, I have my rF2 mod installed in a games folder, NOT /Program Files or /Program Files (x86), since I don't want win7 trying to control my installed files.Ģ) In my main rF2 folder, I have a plugins folder containing the trackmap folder and trackmapplugin.dll. have to select that in the launcher, and in 798 you kind of have to install it in 2 places to make it work (check the last couple of pages in the trackmap thread for instructions on how to install it." Cannot find anything about this, are you able to explain any further or point me to something that does? Jerry - you stated "Only works with the 32bit format. To clear this I unchecked the Use 32 bit executable on 64 bit. Ensure that rFactor2.exe is located in Core and this application is in the root of the install directory. I followed the instructions contained therein and the launcher came up with the following message when I tried to start an off line session - Failed to launch rFactor. >Finally, if you are running rF2 in a 64bit OS, tick the check box next to "Use 32 bit executable on 64 bit capable operating systems" in the Advanced tab of the launcher. > Keep the TrackMap folder in its original rFactor2\Plugins folder it should NOT be moved to the Bin32\plugins folder > Move TrackMapPlugin.dll from its original location to rFactor2\Bin32\Plugins folder. > Move d3d9.dll, TrackMapPlugin.ini from their original locations to rFactor2\Bin32 folder. TrackMap Plugin (32 bit) for rF2 Build 798: So, it wasn't showing up in the mod, so did some research as I have build 798 and came across this: Obviously been here before and installed it. We don't have the resources to do this at present.Īs such, we cannot offer a personal license for this use.OK - did a bit more investigation and found that I had Trackmap present in my rFactor2 directory. If we were to grant people a license to use i2, we would also have to support them by answering questions, and fixing items that do not work correctly. Unfortunately, many hackers decided to take i2 and use it for free with other games, which led to a few of the cheaper dash logger suppliers starting to use i2 with their hardware illegally.ĭue to the problems we have had with our gaming experience, and the work required to make a 'safe' version of i2 for use with games, the business has decided not to allow any more games to be used with i2. We did initially decided to allow the use of i2 with Simbin, and they were good guys to deal with and it all went well. ![]() We have been approached by most simulation game developers during their development at one point or another. MoTeC as a business have had a look at getting involved with the gaming industry to allow the use of i2 with their applications. JamieA Posts: 454 Joined: Wed 2:16 pm Location: Melbourne, Australia Given all of this, we certainly don't have any intention to spend MoTeC's support time to support illegal use of our product. We have spent an enormous amount of time and money building and enhancing i2 over the years, we have the right to ensure that only the people we authorise have access to this piece of software, do so. So be under no illusion, your use of i2 is certainly in breach of copyright. There are games, such as GTR that have correctly gone through the process of licensing the use of i2, and as such have the right to use MoTeC i2 software as part of their game.Īs you would know, when you install i2, you agree to our Terms and Conditions on the use of i2, which states this: "The use of MoTeC's i2 application for data analysis with data generated either directly or indirectly by non MoTeC products unless that product has been licensed by MoTeC is a breach of copyright.". As mentioned, rFactor are knowingly using MoTeC software illegally. ![]()
